Latex Reagents & Kits
Latex agglutination technique had been introduced back in 1965 by Singer and Poltz. It is based on the immunological reaction between an antibody, and it is corresponding antigen. Latex beads are coated with certain antibody or antigen to react with the corresponding antigen or antibody respectively that might be present in the tested specimen which results in the formation of visible agglutinated particles. This technique is used to detect many analytes and is used for both qualitative and semi-quantitative assays.
