Lateral Flow Rapid Tests

Lateral flow rapid tests are diagnostic devices that is based on immunoassay reaction and uses nitrocellulose membrane as a platform for such reaction.

Colored particles (either Colloidal Gold or Latex Beads) are used to facilitate the visual detection of results.

Lateral flow rapid tests are usually qualitative, requires minimal training to perform the test, give quick results making it suitable as a quick screening test and can be stored at room temperature. This makes the lateral flow rapid tests widely used in the diagnostic field.
